You Can Shop Sephora on Instagram Without Ever Leaving the Social-Media App

If you follow Sephora on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that it’s one of the many retailers that have given you the option of tapping on an image to see shopping details about a featured product and click through to the company website to buy the makeup, skin-care, or hair-care item of which you couldn’t resist the photo. And now, Sephora is making beauty shopping on the ‘gram even easier through a new collaboration with the social-media app.Debuting the morning of Wednesday, June 24, Sephora’s new “digital storefront” on Instagram will allow shoppers to purchase products not only from the convenience of their smartphone, but without ever leaving the app. For more than 80 brands sold at Sephora, you’ll be able to go through the checkout process right on your feed or even in Sephora’s Instagram Stories — an experience the retailer expects to be fast, easy, and more convenient for its 20 million followers. The checkout experience is a secure one, of course, but security isn’t the only thing you won’t be sacrificing. Members of the Sephora Beauty Insider loyalty program will be able to earn points on Instagram checkout purchases. There will also be the same level of Sephora client service, an easy return process, and more.Among the brands you’ll be able to shop through this new experience: Drunk Elephant, Shani Darden, Milk Makeup, Summer Fridays, Olaplex, Maison Martin Margiela, Makeup Up For Ever and the retailer’s own beloved Sephora Collection, of course.Although Sephora stores have started reopening around the country, for those of us who don’t live near those locations or simply don’t feel comfortable in enclosed public spaces while the coronavirus pandemic continues, this new collaboration with Instagram is a huge boon. Another and even easier way to get the beauty products we love (and expect to love)? Please and thank you.More on Sephora:Now check out Skai Jackson’s 10-minute makeup routine:Follow Marci on Instagram and Twitter, or subscribe to Allure’s newsletter for daily beauty stories delivered right to your inbox.
