The new industry standard of launching 40-plus foundation shade ranges (that started thanks, in large part, to Fenty Beauty) indicated some progress toward more inclusivity in the beauty industry. However, foundation isn’t the only product that requires an expanded shade range; blushes, concealers, eye shadows, and even brow products also need to be formulated with people with darker skin in mind. Makeup Revolution has made that a top priority with the launch of its Glow Splendor Bronzers, and people are rightfully praising the brand for the wide shade range.Ofunne Amaka, founder of Cocoa Swatches, uploaded swatches and photos of the bronzers to Instagram on May 16 and expressed her own approval of the new product. On the first post, she wrote, “WHEW ? THE POWER THIS PHOTO HAS?????? The new matte bronzers from the #MakeupRevolution GLOW collection are shaking the drugstore table y’all!” She wasn’t the only one happy to see these diverse shades. One user commented, “I wanna cry I’m so happy” while another said, “Babyyyy THIS is a range ?.”The Glow Splendor Bronzers come in six different matte shades — Light, Medium, Medium Dark, Dark, Deep, and Deep Dark. These glowy powders are intended for both face and body bronzing, which makes sense given the large size of the pan. They’re infused with coconut and pineapple fragrance, so you can easily swipe on both the color and the scent of summer at the same time. They also retail for $12, making them one of the few bronzers that come in this wide of a shade range and are also available at a drugstore price. If you aren’t convinced, then look at Amaka’s swatches. Not only is every shade except Light (not swatched) and Medium darker than she is, but there’s also no ashiness there either — always a good sign. The Glow Splendor Bronzers are available for purchase now from revolutionbeauty.com.Read more stories about makeup products for darker skin:Now watch the first and last five things Camila Coelho does every day:Don’t forget to follow Allure on Instagram and Twitter.
